Hi all, I am having problems installing the software for the above printer.

On the initial install I interrupted the installation of the software (it appeared to stall) after the printer was installed but before the other programs were installed.
I then uninstalled the printer in 'control panel, uninstall programs' but since then the software program won't run, after inserting the disk and getting the choice on what to do on Auto Play, I chose 'Install the program' but that's it, nothing happens, so I went online to HP and downloaded their latest software files but same issue, I open the down loaded files which go through the extraction process and then stops.
It's almost as if some files were left behind on the initial install that's preventing the software to load.
I am able to install and access the printer in 'Device Manager' using both USB and Bluetooth connection, but cannot access the Aio Remote App to scan through Bluetooth, the program is unable to find the printer.
I have approached HP help centre, but after a couple of suggestions they came back and said:

I see that you have informed that you are using Surface Pro 2 with windows 8.1 pro. This is a tablet that you are using.
I regret to inform you that the drivers are not compatible with the tablets or mobile devices. You'll be unable to install the printer software on the tablet.'
I have checked out the Windows Compatibility Centre and accordingly the Surface Pro 2 with Windows 8.1 pro, is compatible with the HP Officejet 100 L411a.
Looking forward to any help to remedy this issue, the main reason for choosing this printer is because of it's portability as we are constantly 'on the road'.
