Xbox One Custom Background Download

Xbox One offered for a long time the ability to set your own background image using colors or achievement art. However, it’s also possible for you to set your own custom image, which could be anything from a background you found online or a picture from your last trip.

  1. Press the Xbox logo button to open the Guide.

  2. Select the gear button on the far-right.

  3. Click on Settings.

  4. Click on Personalization.

  5. Click on My color & background.

  6. Click on My background.

  7. You’ll have three choices: Achievement art, Custom image, Screenshot. To set your own image as background, click Custom image.

  8. Connect a USB drive with image or locate the network folder using the Media Player app — you’ll need to download this app if not already installed.

  9. Open the custom image you want as background and press the hamburger menu (three line) button on the controller.

  10. Click on Set as background to complete the task.

If you want to set an achievement art as your background, on step 6, select Achievement art, look for the game you want, select the achievement art, and click Set as background.

Depending on the image you choose, you can go back My color & background, and set the “Tile transparency” to change the tile settings to make them more transparent so you can see more of the custom background.
